The creation of a series of three postcard highlighting "Why I Love New York" reflects the reality of living in NYC and specifically focuses on the cities' costly housing market. Every NYC college student thinks about getting an apartment. Personally, I love seeing apartments in the different boroughs of the city; however, this interest led to the realization that apartments in NYC are expensive and in some cases lead individuals into debt, bankruptcy and in the very worst case scenario, homelessness. By collaging images of people, apartments and in some cases images of despair, I created postcards to reveal the hidden truth of getting an apartment in NYC.
